• Bread Upma – Bread and Vegetables masala Stir Fry

    Bread cubes stir fried with vegetables and spices. An easy, healthy and tasty breakfast option using leftover bread.

  • Mushroom masala stir fry (Indian Style)

     Mushrooms cooked and sauteed in ginger garlic, pepper, and spices. A healthy and tasty side-dish. Goes well with rice, roti, and any Indian breads.

  • Kerala Egg Roast (Nadan mutta roast)

    Boiled eggs cooked in spicy onion tomato masala gravy. One of the easy and tasty side dish that you can prepare very quickly. Mostly served for breakfast with Appam(Rice and Coconut pancake) or Noolappam or Puttu. Also tastes great with roti or any Indian bread.

  • Kerala Style Mutton Stew

    Mutton simmered in coconut milk with onion, ginger- garlic and spices. Appam with Mutton Stew is one of my favorite breakfast. Great combination with Idiyappam, puttu and bread also.

  • Kerala Prawns/Shrimp masala (Chemmeen/Konchu masala)

    Prawns/Konchu cooked and roasted in spicy onion tomato gravy, flavored with cocum. A yummy side dish for rice, pulao, ghee rice, Chapati/Indian bread.

  • Fish Biriyani (Kerala Style)

    An Indian one pot meal. Fish marinated, fried, cooked in spicy masala gravy and then layered with rice. A really delicious one 🙂 I used pomfret which turned out awesome. You can also try seer fish or king fish.

  • Kerala Style Sambar

    A lentil based vegetable stew cooked with spices and tamarind pulp. A South Indian delicacy. It tastes so good with dosa, idli and rice. This is my own evolved kinda sambar recipe with tips taken from my mom and my friends 🙂

  • Kerala Style Mutton Curry – without coconut (Nadan Mutton Curry)

    Easy, spicy Kerala mutton curry that can be prepared in no time. It goes well with porotta, any sort of rice variants ( ghee rice, pulao, normal rice) and any Indian bread.

  • Kerala Style Chickpea / Kadala curry

    Chickpea simmered in coconut milk with ginger-garlic and spices. Brown Chickpea is mostly preferred for this recipe. Puttu with kadala curry is a comfort breakfast for any Malayalee. It can also be served with Idiyappam, Appam and any Indian bread.

  • Cauliflower / Gobi masala

    Cauliflower fried and sauted in spicy masala gravy!! It goes well with Roti or any other Indian bread or Pulao.
