• Kerala chicken curry recipe with coconut milk (Nadan chicken curry)

    Chicken curry with semi thick gravy well flavored with spices and coconut milk.It’s an easy and delicious nadan kozhi curry recipe.It goes well with pathiri, any sort of rice variants ( ghee rice, pulao, normal rice), chapati, parotta/paratha, appam or any other Indian breads.

  • Kerala Style Mutton Stew

    Mutton simmered in coconut milk with onion, ginger- garlic and spices. Appam with Mutton Stew is one of my favorite breakfast. Great combination with Idiyappam, puttu and bread also.

  • Kerala Style Appam (Rice and coconut pancake)

    Easy, soft and fluffy Appam made with fermented rice and coconut batter. It’s the best served with chicken/mutton/vegetable stew or fish molly.

  • Kerala Style Fish Fry ( Meen varuthathu)

    Fish steaks marinated with spices and then shallow fried. It’s an easy and a great appetizer and also goes well with rice.

  • Pineapple in Spiced Yogurt Sauce (Pineapple Pachadi Kerala Style)

    Pineapple cooked in coconut and yogurt based gravy. It’s a yummy sweet and sour side dish with rice. One of the must side dishes for Kerala Onam Sadya.

  • Kerala Prawns/Shrimp masala (Chemmeen/Konchu masala)

    Prawns/Konchu cooked and roasted in spicy onion tomato gravy, flavored with cocum. A yummy side dish for rice, pulao, ghee rice, Chapati/Indian bread.

  • Moru Kachiyathu / Kachiya Moru / Seasoned Buttermilk without coconut

    Buttermilk seasoned with shallots, ginger and spices. This is a very easy and yummy curry which can be made in no time.  It is a must side dish with rice at any house in Kerala.

  • Fish Biriyani (Kerala Style)

    An Indian one pot meal. Fish marinated, fried, cooked in spicy masala gravy and then layered with rice. A really delicious one 🙂 I used pomfret which turned out awesome. You can also try seer fish or king fish.

  • Kerala Style Sambar

    A lentil based vegetable stew cooked with spices and tamarind pulp. A South Indian delicacy. It tastes so good with dosa, idli and rice. This is my own evolved kinda sambar recipe with tips taken from my mom and my friends 🙂
