Simple and yummy chutney which goes well with dosas and idlis

Ingredients

Onion

Tomato

chilli powder
1 Teaspoon
coconut
1/2 Cup
red chilli dried

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add dried red chilli
  2. Fry it for a minute and then remove it from pan and keep it aside
  3. Add finely sliced onions and salt and saute it until onion becomes sauteed
  4. Add chilli powder and fry it for a minute
  5. Add sliced tomato and saute it till it becomes soft
  6. Add coconut and mix well
  7. Remove from fire and let it cool
  8. Grind the dried red chillies
  9. Add onion, tomato and coconut mixture and grind it to a smooth paste. Don't add water. Serve it with idli or dosa 🙂
